Flowing Route
Yangming large intestine meridian of hand starts from the radial tip of the index finger (Shangyang, LI l). It ascends through Hegu (LI4), runs upwards along the anterior border of the lateral side of the upper limb to the shoulder, and emerges from the anterior edge of the acromion, where it goes back to the seventh cervical vertebra (Dazhui, GV14). Then descending, from the supraclavicular fossa (Quepen, ST12), it enters the thoracic cavity to link with the lung. Passing through the diaphragm, it enters the large intestine to which it pertains.
Its branch goes up from the supraclavicular fossa (Quepen,ST12) and passes through the neck to the cheek, entering the gums of the lower teeth. Then, it curves around the upper lip and crosses the opposite meridian at the philtrum and upward to the opposite nosewing (Yingxiang, LI20) to connect with yangming stomach meridian of foot.
