Xiaochangshu(BL27,小肠俞) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Taiyang Bladder Meridian of Foot.

Meaning

Xiaochang, small intestine; shu, point.
This point is where the Qi of Small Intestine is infused into the back.

Location

1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 1th sacral vertebra.

Indication

  • 1.main point for diseases of the small intestine: abdominal pain, diarrhea.
  • 2.enuresis, hematuria, frequent micturition and pain of urination.
  • 3.pain of the local area, sacral or iliac arthritis, etc.

Method

Perpendicularly 0.8-1.2 cun.
