Ingredients

Explanation

Ci Shi: Being salty in flavor and cold in nature, enhancing Yin and suppressing the hyperactivity of Yang, calming the mind through the strong tranquilizing action.

Zhu Sha: Being sweet in flavor and cold in nature, tranquilizing the mind.

Shen Qu: Strengthening the function of the spleen and stomach, protecting the stomach from being injured by heavy materials, working together with honey to supplement the Qi of the middle-Jiao and regulate the stomach.

The Effect of Cizhu Wan

Effect

Tranquilizing the mind, suppressing the hyperactivity of Yang, improving acuity of vision.

Indications

Syndrome due to breakdown of the normal physiological coordination between the heart and the kidney, marked by palpitation, insomnia, tinnitus, deafness, and blurred vision; including such diseases with the above symptoms as neurosism and epilepsy.

Administrations

The ingredients are ground into fine powder and made with honey into pills, each as big as a seed of Chinese parasol. 6 g of the pills is taken with boiled water each time, twice daily.
