The drug is the dried or fresh whole herb of Sedum emarginatum, Migo (Family Crassulaceae) growing in wet lands on mountain slopes, in forests, or in crevices, and distribtied in Shaanxi, Gansu, Henan, Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan of China.

Actions
Clear heat, remove toxicity, cool blood to stop bleeding, induce diuresis.
Indications
Scrofula, dysentery, jaundice, nose bleeding, hematemesis, sores and boils, furuncle, hemoptysis, hematochezia, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, morbid leucorrhea, stranguria, herpes zoster.
Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 15~30 g, or 50~100 g of the fresh, or pounded into juice for oral taking. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.
