Meaning

Xian, depression; gu, valley.
Gu implies a depression on the body surface.
The point is in the depression between the second and third metatarsal bones.

Location

In the depression distal to the junction of 2nd and 3rd metatarsal bones.

Indication

Facial edema, abdominal pain, borborygmus, pain in the instep.
