Ingredients

Explanation

Huang Qi: The principal drug in larger dose, invigorating primordial Qi to activate the circulation of blood.

Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong, Chi Shao, Tao Ren, Hong Hua and Di Long: Promoting the flow of blood through the channels.

The Effect of 补阳还五汤

Effect

Invigorating Qi, promoting the circulation of blood, removing obstruction in the channels.

Indications

Sequel of apoplexy, marked by hemiparalysis, distortion of the face, dysphasia, salivation due to paralytic lips, flaccidity of the lower limbs, frequent urination or enuresis, whitish tongue coating and slow pulse; including such diseases with the above symptoms as sequel of cerebrovascular accident and sequel of poliomyelitis.

Administrations

Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
