Property

Slightly bitter, sweet, bland, cold; heart and bladder meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and remove toxicity, induce diuresis and relieve edema.

Indications

Sores and abscess with swelling pain; venomous snake bite; edema, ascitic fluid; jaundice; difficulty in urination.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 10~15 g. Proper dosage is for topical administration.

Cations

It should be avoided using in treating patients with edema due to deficiency.
