The Effect of 剪刀草

Property

Bitter, pungent, cool.

Actions

Expel wind and clear heat, promote the circulation of qi, activate blood, remove toxicity and resolve swelling.

Indications

Vomiting, diarrhea, dysentery, sore throat, snake and insect bites, sores and boils, traumatic injury, urticaria, erysipelas, diphtheria, fever due to cold, abdominal pain due to food accumulation.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 15~30 g, or 30~60 g with fresh product, or pounded into juice. Proper dosage is for external application. Pounded into powder for applying or decocted for washing.
