Property
Bitter, warm; heart and spleen meridians entered.
Actions
Break blood and stimulate the menstrual flow, astringe the wound and resolve swelling.
Indications
Traumatic injury, sores and boils, amenorrhea, abdominal mass, postpartum blood stasis, bleeding due to incised wound, abdominal distension.
Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 5~10 g, or made into powder. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.
Cations
It is contraindicated for qi and blood deficiency and spleen deficiency with diarrhea.
