Ingredients
- Dan Shen (Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae) 30g,
- Tan Xiang (Lignum Santali Albi) 5g,
- Sha Ren (Fructus Amomi) 5g.
Explanation
Dan Shen: The principal drug in larger dosage, promoting blood circulation and dispelling blood stasis.
Tan Xiang and Sha Ren: Working together to regulate the Qi of the middle-Jiao and alleviate pain.
The Effect of 丹参饮
Effect
Promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, alleviating the flow of Qi to relieve pain.
Indications
Syndrome of blood stasis due to stagnation of Qi, marked by pain in the chest and stomach, deep red tongue and taut uneven pulse; including such diseases with the above symptoms as chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer and chronic pancreatitis.
Administrations
Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
