Ingredients
Explanation
Shu Di: The principal drug, nourishing the kidney and supplementing essence.
Shan Zhu Yu, Gou Qi Zi: Tonifying the liver and kidney.
Shan Yao: Benefiting both the spleen and the kidney.
Zhi Gan Cao: Invigorating the spleen and stomach, tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.
Fu Ling: Inducing diuresis and draining dampness, invigorating spleen.
The Effect of Zuogui Yin
Effect
Tonify kidney-yin.
Indications
Soreness and weakness of the loins and knees, spermatorrhea, spontaneous sweat and night sweat, dry mouth and throat, reddened tongue with little coating, and thready or rapid pulse.
Administrations
Decoct in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
