Property

Bitter, neutral; liver and heart meridians entered.

Actions

Activate blood and stop bleeding, eliminate heat and remove toxicity.

Indications

Sores and boils, traumatic hemorrhage, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, hematochezia, hematemesis, nose bleeding, pharyngitis.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 10~15 g (30~60 g of the fresh product) or take the powder, 1.5~3 g. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into powder for sprinkling or pounded for applying with fresh product.
