Ingredients

Explanation

Chai Hu: The principal drug, being bitter and pungent in taste and slightly cold in nature, soothing the liver to regulate the circulation of Qi.

Chen Pi: Promoting the circulation of Qi, strengthening the stomach.

Shao Yao: Regulating the flow of blood, nourishing the liver.

Fang Feng: Dispelling wind and alleviating pain.

Zhi Gan Cao: Tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.

Sheng Jiang: Regulating the stomach and descending the adverse flow of Qi.

Effect

Relieving exterior syndrome and dispelling cold.

Indications

Cold, influenza, early stage of malaria, postpartum cold, cold during pregnancy, cold in period.

Administrations

Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
