Ingredients

Explanation

Shu Di: Nourishing the kidney, enriching blood and replenishing essence.

Dang Gui: Soothing the liver and tonifying blood.

Shao Yao: Astringing the liver to alleviate pain.

Chuan Xiong: Promoting the circulation of blood and removing the stagnation of Qi, thus preventing other sticky-natured tonics in this prescription from bringing about the stagnation of Qi and blood.

Huang Qin: Clearing the fire of upper-jiao.

Huang Lian: Clearing the fire of middle-jiao.

Huang Bo: Clearing the fire of lower-jiao.

Zhi Zi: Clearing heat syndrome of heart, liver and stomach.

The Effect of Wen Qing Yin

Effect

Tonify blood and clear heat, regulate menstruation and remove toxicity.

Indications

Abnormal menstruation, sores and boils, diabetes, unhealing aphtha, skin itch, uterine bleeding, abdominal pain.

Administrations

Decoct in water for oral dose to be taken on empty stomach.
