The Effect of Trogopterus Dung

Property

Sweet, bitter, warm; liver and spleen meridians entered.

Actions

Activate blood and dissipate blood stasis. Stir-baked product can stop bleeding.

Indications

Amenorrhea, pain due to blood stasis after delivery, snake, scorpion and
centipede bites, metrorrhagia, menorrhagia, leucorrhea with blood, traumatic injury, dysmenorrhea.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 3~10 g, or made into pill or powder. It should be wrapped during decocting. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into powder for applying.

Cations

It shouldn’t be used with Ren Shen and it is contraindicated to pregnant women.
