- ①Temporo-mandibular joint(TMJ) syndrome, trigeminal neuralgia, toothache, deviation of the eye and mouth, and other diseases of the face and mouth;
- ②deafness, tinnitus, otorrhea, otitis media.
Perpendicular insertion 0. 5-1 cun, or oblique insertion toward Tinggong(SI19). It is not advisable to open mouth while the needle is being retained, to avoid breaking the needle.
