Property

Bitter, astringent, warm; liver meridian entered.

Actions

Dissipate blood stasis, stop bleeding and remove dampness.

Indications

Menorrhagia, retained placenta, urine with blood, dysentery with blood stool, rectocele, haemorrhoids, eczema, metrorrhagia, threatened abortion, abdominal pain due to blood stasis.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 5~10 g, or made into powder. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into powder for applying or decocted for washing.
