Rangu(KI2,然谷) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Shaoyin Kidney Meridian of Foot. It is the Ying-spring and fire point of the kidney.

Location

On the medial side of the foot, in the depression distal and inferior to the navicular tuberosity, at the junction of the red and white skin.

Indication

  • ①Irregular menstruation, prolapse of uterus, pruritus vulvae, gonorrhea;
  • ②Seminal emissions, impotence, retention of urine;
  • ③Hemoptysis, sore throat;
  • ④Diabetes;
  • ⑤Diarrhea;
  • ⑥Infantile omphalitis and tetanus, lockjaw.

Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.3-0.5 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
