Property

Bitter, cold; liver, heart and large intestine meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and dry dampness, remove toxicity.

Indications

Dysentery, cold, sores and boils, measles, infective hepatitis, enteritis, conjunctivitis.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 3~15 g, or made into powder or electuary. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying with fresh product, or decocted for washing, or made ointment.

Cations

It is contraindicated for deficiency-cold in spleen and stomach.
