Property

Bitter, pungent, cool, slightly toxic; spleen, lung and kidney meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and remove toxicity, expel wind and alleviate pain, cool blood and stop bleeding.

Indications

Sore throat, sores and boils, abdominal pain, nose bleeding, hematemesis, traumatic bleeding, diarrhea, rheumatic arthritis.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 9~15 g, or made into pills and powder. Proper dosage is for external application. Pounded into powder for applying.
