Property

Sweet, bitter, cool; liver meridian entered.

Actions

Clear heat and decrease blood pressure, strengthen the heart and induce diuresis.

Indications

Hypertension, heart disease, neurasthenia, abdominal distension due to hepatitis, dropsy due to nephritis.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 3~10 g; soak in hot water as tea drinking alone.

Cations

It is contraindicated for chronic convulsion with spleen deficiency.
