Dyspnea and cough due to wind-cold, marked by dyspnea and shortness of breath which makes it difficult to lie flat, cough with sputum occurring when it is cold, fullness in the chest, whitish slippery tongue coating, and floating slippery or taut slippery pulse; including such diseases with the above symptoms as bronchial asthma, asthmatic bronchitis, chronic bronchitis and pulmonary emphysema.

All the drugs are ground into fine powder. The powder is made with ginger juice into pills. 6 g of the pills is taken with warm boiled water each time, twice daily. Instead, the drugs may be decocted in water for oral use. In doing so, their amounts should be reduced according to their original proportions.

This prescription is used mainly when the onset of cough and dyspnea take place. Once the disease condition is controlled, prescriptions for regulating and reinforcing the spleen and lung should be used instead or as the compatible ones in order that the body resistance can be enhanced and relapse may be prevented.
