The Effect of Lang Du

Property

Pungent, neutral, toxic; liver and spleen meridians entered.

Actions

Eliminate phlegm, alleviate pain, dissipate food stagnation and kill parasites.

Indications

Edema, abdominal distension, cough and dyspnea, scrofula, cutaneous tuberculosis, chronic bronchitis, parasites, food stagnation, excessive phlegm, anal fistula, scabies, pain of heart and abdomen.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 0.9～2.4 g, or made into pill or powder. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into juice or made into powder for applying.

Cautions

It is contraindicated to pregnant women and weak people.
