Jiaoxin(KI8,交信) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Shaoyin Kidney Meridian of Foot. It is the Xi-cleft point of yin heel vessel.

Location

2 cun above Taixi(KI3), 0.5 cun anterior to Fuliu(KI7), posterior to the media border of the tibia.

Indication

  • ①Irregular menstruation, metrorrhagia and metrostaxis, prolapse of the uterus, pruritus vulvae;
  • ②hernia;
  • ③stranguria-syndrome;
  • ④diarrhea, constipation, dysentery.

Method

Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.7inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
