The Effect of Jiu Gen

Property

Pungent, warm; spleen and stomach meridians entered.

Actions

Warm the spleen and stomach, promote the flow of qi, dissipate stasis and remove toxicity.

Indications

Nose bleeding, traumatic injury, scabies, hematemesis, indigestion, chest pain, abdominal pain caused by interior cold, leucorrhea with reddish discharge, dermatitis rhus.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 30~60 g of the fresh, or pounded into juice. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.

Cautions

It is contraindicated in case of eye disease, sores, ulcer and internal heat with yin deficiency.
