The drug is the leaf or ripe fruit of Aucuba chinensis Benth. (Family Cornaceae), growing in mountainous woods or cultivated in gardens, distributed in Fujian, Taiwan, Hubei, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan and Yunnan of China.

Clear heat and remove toxicity, reduce the swelling and alleviate pain.
Indications
The leaf is used for the treatment of burns and scalds, hemorrhoid and traumatic injury, sores and boils, frostbite. Fruit is used for traumatic injury.
Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 9~15 g. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.
