The Effect of Herba Sonchi Oleracei

Property

Bitter, cold; heart, spleen, stomach, large intestine meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and remove toxicity, cool blood and stop bleeding.

Indications

Nose bleeding, hematemesis, uterine bleeding, sores and boils, sore throat, jaundice, urine with blood, enteritis, dysentery, stranguria, mastitis, anal fistula, hematochezia.
Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into powder for applying or decocted for washing.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 15~30 g.

Cautions

It is contraindicated in case of deficiency cold in the spleen and stomach.
