Ingredients

Explanation

Chai Hu: Being bitter and pungent in flavor and slightly cold in nature, soothing the liver to promote the circulation of Qi.

Shu Di, Dang Gui and Bai Shao: The principal drugs, nourishing blood and tonifying the liver.

Bai Zhu, Sheng Jiang and Da Zao and Fu Ling: Strengthening the spleen, replenishing Qi.

Zhi Gan Cao: Tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.

Effect

Tonify blood and soothe the liver, strengthen the spleen and harmonize the stomach and spleen.

Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice (Taken in the form of powder originally)
