Property

Bitter, pungent, neutral; liver and heart meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and cool blood, activate blood and dissipate stagnation, dispel wind and dredge meridians.

Indications

Purpura, rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic injury.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 9~15 g, or soaked in wine. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into powder for applying or decocted for washing.

Cations

It is contraindicated in case of yin deficiency with effulgent fire and pregnant women.
