Food therapies on urticaria
Urticaria is a kind of common allergic disease of skin mucous membrane. Clinical characteristics are acute itching wheal on skin. TCM believes it’s the cold evil in the skin; or hot and humid evil in stomach and intestines cause the illness. Therefore, the first thing is to dispel wind, then according to different situations of patients to intake foods.
Diet principles:

1.Eat more nutritious and easy digestible food. Such as tofu, soy milk, lean pork, etc.

2.Drink more green tea, fresh juice that can induce diuresis.

3.Eat more green leafy vegetables, and plants rich in fiber. Such as green vegetables, bamboo, cucumber, tomato, celery, etc.

4.Avoid seafood and stimulating foods. Such as sea cucumber, shrimp, crab, sea turtle, ribbon fish, beef and mutton, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, etc.

5.Avoid spicy and stimulating foods. Such as pepper, onion, fennel, cigarettes, alcohol, etc.

6.Avoiding greasy, fried foods, such as Fried, baked, pickled foods, cream cake, chocolate, etc.
General foods:

1.The willow river duckweeds zi cao drink: willow 15 grams, 15 grams of duckweed, zi cao 12 g. Add water and proper brown sugar, boil for decoction and drink as tea.

2.Mung bean soup: 30 ~ 50 g mung bean, boil for soup. One dose a day for 5 ~ 7 days as a course of treatment.

3.The snake broth: one Zaocys dhumnades, remove head abd cut into pieces, clean well and add water to boil soup. Eat meat to drink soup.

4.Taro braised pork chops: taro stem 30 ~ 60 grams, proper pork chops. Make soup with these two ingredients.

5.Fresh peach: Eat 3 ~ 5 peaches everyday.

6.Chan tuipowder rice wine: chan tui fen 3g, rice wine 50 ml. Add 250 ml water in the wine and boil, apply chan tui fen with the mixed wine for 2 times a day and on 3-5 days as a period of treatment.

7.Red jujube:10 jujubes, wash and eat. Apply 3 times a day.

8.Yin hua hu ma drink:yin hua 50g, small hu ma 10 g, 5 g gan cao. Cook the soup and apply 2 times a day.

9.Leek soup:leek 150 grams, wash the cut, add a cup wine and a moderate amount of water, cook soup. Apply one dose daily. Apply in two doses a day.

10.Black sesame wine:Fry the sesame and smash well, add a moderate amount of white sugar and mix well. Take 3 tablespoons sesame powder and also the rice wine. Boil for 10 ~ 15 minutes. Apply in the morning on an empty stomach three hours after meal. Apply 1 ~ 2 times a day. Take 3 ~ 4 days as a course of treatment.
A. Wind heat symptoms:
Clinical manifestations:
Red wheal, getting severe when meeting heat;burning skin when being touched;pruritus. Dry throat, red tongue thin yellow coating, floating and rapid pulse.
Principle of food therapies:
Clear heat wind, cool blood and relieve itching.
Dietotherapy foods:

1.Yin hua chrysanthemum mint tea:yin hua 15 g, chrysanthemum 10 g, 5 g mint. Put the above three into the vacuum cup, add boiling water to soak.

2.Duckweed drink:duckweed 30 grams, 30 grams of ci ji li, niu bang zi 10 grams, 15 grams of di fu zi, right amount white sugar. Boil the four ingredients into 500 ml decoction, add white sugar, boil for a while. Apply one dose daily.

3.The wax gourd peel chrysanthemum drink: wax gourd peel 30 grams, chrysanthemum 15 grams, mint 6 grams, right amount white sugar. Boil the first two from 750 ml to 500 ml of decoction, add the mint and sugar, and boil for a while.
B.Wind cold symptoms:
Clinical manifestations
Light red or flesh color wheal, getting severer after touching cold water and itch is aggravating, getting better when meeting warm. Pale and thin tongue coating, floating pulse.
Principle of food therapies:
Dispel the wind, prevent cold and relieve itching.
Dietotherapy foods:

1.Ginger vinegar papaya:papaya 60 grams, ginger 9 g. Rice vinegar 100 ml. Boil for decoction. Remove the papaya, ginger after the vinegar been boiled dry. Apply 2 times in one day. Apply a dose daily for 7 ~ 10 days as a course of treatment.

2.Gui zhi ginger red dates soup:gui zhi 6 grams, 15 grams ginger, red date 12 pieces, boil and collect 500 ml decoction, add in crystal sugar 20 g, stir while boiling.

3.Ginger su ye drinks:15 grams ginger slices, zi su ye 10 grams, bai xian pi 10 grams, add right amount water, decoct juice 500 ml, add proper brown sugar.
C. Spleen stomach damp heat symptoms:
Clinical manifestations:
Wheal on skin, accompanied by nausea and vomiting, abdominal distention, pain, discomfort. Loose stool or constipation, fatigue, yellow urine. Red tongue with yellow greasy coating, rapid pulse.
Principle of food therapies:
Clear heat and induce diuresis, dispel wind and relieve itching.
Dietotherapy foods:

1.Corn stigma Yi Mi soup: corn stigma 10 grams, Yi Mi 30 grams, 30 grams of tu fu ling. Decoct soup, add a small amount of brown sugar. Apply a dose of daily for 8 ~ 10 days as a course of treatment.

2.Yellow bean sprouts duckweed soup: yellow bean sprouts 60 ~ 90 grams, 30 grams of duckweed, boil for 20 minutes, add a little salt. Apply 2 ~ 3 times a day.

3.Ginger sugar vinegar 50 grams, 50 grams of brown sugar, 100 ml of vinegar. Slice the ginger first, add 300 ml water and decoct 100 ml juice, add in the brown sugar, vinegar and ginger decoction to dissolve sugar. Apply three times a day. One dose daily.
D. Qi and blood deficiency syndrome
Clinical manifestations:
Light color wheal, attack repeatedly, getting severer when tired. Accompanied by dizziness, pale complexion, lack in strength, pale tongue with thin white coating, weak and slow pulse.
Principle of food therapies:
Tonifying qi and blood, dispelling wind and relieving itching.
Dietotherapy foods:

- Three black ingredients soup:9 grams of black sesame, black dates 9 grams, 30 grams of black beans, brown sugar a little. Wash the first three and boil for 20 minutes. One dose daily.

- Huang qi stewed with hen:one hen, weighing about 1000 grams, 30 grams of huang qi, 1 spoon of Chinese rice wine, a few salt. Clean the chicken and stuff huang qi into the stomach, pour with rice wine, stitch the chicken belly, put in basin, sprinkle some salt, and steam well. Spend 2 ~ 3 days to eat out.
