The Effect of Di Shui Zhu

Property

Warm, pungent, slightly toxic; liver meridian entered.

Actions

Alleviate pain, disperse stasis, resolve swelling and remove toxicity.

Indications

Headache, stomachache, abdominal pain, acute mastitis, traumatic injury, lumbago, pyogenic infections, heat syndrome.

Dosage and Administrations

It is pounded into powder and then made into capsules for swallowing. 0.3~0.6 g is taken each time. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.

Cautions

It is contraindicated in case of yin deficiency, pregnant women. Do not take overdose.
