Property

Bitter, cold, toxic; heart, lung, spleen and large intestine meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and remove toxicity, induce diuresis and relieve flatulence.

Indications

Swelling and boils, scrofula, tumor, infantile malnutrition and abdominal distension, chronic trachitis.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 3~9 g or made into powder for oral administration. Proper dosage is for external application. Use fresh herb for applying or pound into powder with the dried.

Cations

It is contraindicated in case of exterior heat and false flatulence.
