The Effect of Creeping Rostellularia Herb

Property

Salt, pungent, cold; liver and gallbladder meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and remove toxicity, eliminate dampness and disperse stagnation, activate blood and alleviate pain.

Indications

Infantile malnutrition, jaundice, dysentery, malaria, cough, cold with fever, sores and boils, traumatic injury, laryngalgia, nephritis with edema, arthralgia and myalgia.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 10~15 g, or 30~60 g of the fresh, or pounded into juice. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying or decocted for washing.

Cautions

Do not take overdose. It is contraindicated in case of qi and blood deficiency and deficiency cold in spleen and stomach.
