The Effect of Common Goldenrod Herb

Property

Pungent, bitter, cool; liver and gallbladder meridians entered.

Actions

Dispel wind and clear heat, resolve swelling and remove toxicity.

Indications

Sore throat, traumatic injury, jaundice, cold headache, whooping cough, Infantile convulsion, fungal infection of the hand, carbuncle and swelling on the back.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 9~15 g, 20~30 g of the fresh product. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying with fresh product, or decocted for liniment.

Cations

It is contraindicated to pregnant women.
