The Effect of Chinese Ladiestresses Root or Herb

Property

Sweet, bitter, neutral; heart and lung meridians entered.

Actions

Tonify qi and nourish yin, clear heat and remove toxicity.

Indications

Dizziness, sore throat, scalds and burns, sores and boils, hematemesis with cough, diabetes, snake bites, spermatorrhea, stranguria with turbid discharge, leucorrhea, weakness after illness, internal heat due to yin deficiency, soreness and weakness of waist and knees.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 9~15 g, or 15~30 g of the fresh.

Cautions

It is contraindicated in case of stagnation of damp-heat. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying with the fresh.
