The Effect of Cheng Zi Pi

Property

Pungent, bitter, warm; spleen and lung meridians entered.

Actions

Promote the flow of qi, strengthen the spleen, calm the adverse-rising energy and resolve phlegm.

Indications

Abdominal distension due to qi stagnation in spleen and stomach, nausea and vomiting, choking sensation in chest, globus hysteriocus, excessive phlegm with cough due to reversed flow of qi.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 3~10 g, or made into powder. Proper dosage is for external application, decocted for washing.
