Property

Bitter, cold; liver, stomach and large intestine meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and eliminate dampness, purge fire and remove toxicity.

Indications

Jaundice, sores and boils, dysentery, icteric hepatitis, toothache due to stomach fire, diarrhea due to damp-heat, swelling and pain of eyes.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 5~10 g. Proper dosage is for external application. Pounded into powder for applying or decocted for washing.

Cautions

It is contraindicated in case of deficiency cold.
