Property
Bitter, cold; spleen, stomach, liver and gallbladder meridians entered.
Actions
Activate blood and remove stasis, stimulate the menstrual flow and alleviate pain, cool blood to stop bleeding, clear heat and promote diuresis.
Indications
Traumatic injury, jaundice due to dampness and heat, abdominal distension due to edema, abdominal mass, amenorrhea, abnormal menstruation, dysentery with bloody stool, urine with blood, leukorrhagia, pain due to blood stasis after delivery.
Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 6~9 g. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.
Cautions
It is contraindicated to pregnant women.
