The Effect of Jiang Dou

Property

Sweet, neutral; spleen and kidney meridians entered.

Actions

Strengthen the spleen and induce diuresis, tonify the kidney and arrest seminal emission.

Indications

Weakness of spleen and stomach, diarrhea, dysentery, diabetes, leucorrhea, frequent urination, spermatorrhea, vomiting, gonorrhea, lumbago caused by kidney deficiency.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 30~60 g, or made into powder. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.

Cautions

It is contraindicated in case of qi stagnation and constipation.
