Property

Bitter, slightly cold; slightly toxic; liver meridian entered.

Actions

Clear heat and remove toxicity; relieve swelling and pain; cool liver and stop convulsions.

Indications

Abscess, deep-rooted boils and sores; venomous snake bite; throat obstruction with swelling pain; infantile convulsions due to high fever; traumatic injury; traumatic bleeding.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 5~10 g. Proper dosage is for topical administration.

Cations

It is contraindicated to the pregnant women.
