腰阳关
Synonyms:
Yaoyangguan(GV3,腰阳关) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Governor Vessel.
Location
On the midline of the lower back, in the depression below the spinous process of the 4th lumbar vertebra(L4) .
Indication
- ①Pain in the lumbo-sacral and coccygeal area, paraplegia;
- ②irregular menstruation, leukorrhea with a red/white discharge;
- ③nocturnal emissions, impotence, and other male diseases.
Method
Perpendicular insertion 0.5-1 cun upward. Moxibustion is always applied.
