The Effect of 石棗

Property

Sweet, pungent, cool; liver and kidney meridians entered.

Actions

Expel wind and eliminate dampness, resolve swelling and alleviate pain, cool blood and activate blood.

Indications

High fever with convulsions, rheumatic arthritis, traumatic injury, sore throat, sores and boils, numb limbs, swelling and pain of joint.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 15~30 g, or soaked in wine. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.
