The Effect of 白梅

Property

Sour, astringent, neutral; liver and kidney meridians entered.

Actions

Relieve sore throat, promote the secretion of saliva, treat sores and boils, astringe the intestines and check diarrhea, eliminate phlegm, stop bleeding, treat trismus.

Indications

Sores and boils, traumatic bleeding, hematochezia, chronic diarrhea, sore throat, vomiting with nausea, polydipsia, uterine bleeding, apoplexy, epilepsy, globus hysteriocus, trismus.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct in water or hold it in the mouth, or made into pills. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying or brushing the teeth.

Cautions

Do not eat too much.
