Explanation
Shao Yao: Astringing the liver to alleviate pain.
Dang Gui and Chuan Xiong: Soothing the liver and tonifying blood.
Huang Lian: Clearing heat and removing toxicity.
Xiang Fu: Soothing the liver and promoting the flow of qi, regulating menorrhea to alleviate pain.
Tao Ren and Hong Hua: Activating blood and resolving stasis.
Dan Pi: Clearing heat and cooling blood, activating blood and resolving stasis.
Yan Hu Suo: Activating blood, promoting the flow of qi to alleviate pain.
E Zhu: Breaking blood and promoting the flow of qi, resolving food stagnation and alleviating pain.
Sheng Di: Clearing heat and cooling blood, stopping bleeding and nourishing yin.

Indications
Dysmenorrhea.
Administrations
Decoct in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
