Explanation
Mu Xiang and Bing Lang: Promoting the circulation of Qi to remove stagnancy, relieving fullness in the epigastrium and abdomen.
Hou Po: Inducing Qi to flow downward and relieving distention.
Fu Zi: Restoring yang from collapse, reinforcing fire and strengthening yang, dispelling cold to alleviate pain.
Chen Pi: Regulating the flow of qi and relieving stagnation.
Da Huang: Relaxing the bowels to sweep away the stagnancy of food or other pathogenic factors.
Ze Qi: Promoting diuresis, eliminating phlegm and removing toxicity.
Ze Xie: Promoting diuresis and eliminating dampness.
Yu Li Ren: Moistening intestines for relaxing bowels, inducing diuresis to alleviate edema.
