Property

• Root: sweet, slightly bitter, hot, toxic;
• Herb: bitter, neutral, toxic.

Actions

• Root: tonify deficiency, warm the spleen and stomach, induce tranquilization and relieve asthma.
• Herb: clear heat and remove toxicity, eliminate dampness and kill parasites.

Indications

• Root: diarrhea caused by deficiency-cold, restlessness, asthma and phlegm with cough, overstrain.
• Herb: sores and boils, headache, sore throat, nasosinusitis, otitis media.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 0.3~0.6 g, or made into powder.
