Property

Sweet, cold; stomach, liver and bladder meridians entered.

Actions

Clear heat and cool blood, dissipate stasis and stop bleeding, remove toxicity, induce diuresis, prevent abortion and terminate lactation.

Indications

Traumatic bleeding, traumatic injury, retention of urine, postpartum anemic fainting, threatened abortion, breast distending pain, swelling and pain of anus, stranguria complicated by hematuria, infectious disease, restlessness caused by stagnant heat.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 3~15 g. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.
