Property

Sweet, slightly bitter, cool.

Actions

Clear heat and remove toxicity, dissipate stasis, resolve swelling.

Indications

Hematemesis, nose bleeding, whooping cough, mastitis, pharyngitis for oral taking; traumatic injury, snake bites, fracture for external application.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 6~30 g, or soaked in wine, or pounded into juice for drinking. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying.

Cautions

It is contraindicated in case of stomach-cold.
