食窦

Shidou(SP17, 食窦) is an acupuncture point in the meridian named Taiyin Spleen Meridian of Foot.

Location

In the 5th intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior median line.

Indication

• ①the sensation of fullness in the chest and hypochondriac region;
• ②regurgitation, abdominal distension;
• ③edema.

Method

Puncture obliquely 0.3-0.5 inch. Moxibustion is applicable.
