Bitter, sweet, slightly pungent, slightly warm; liver, spleen and kidney meridians entered.

Actions

Relax the tendons and bones, stop bleeding and disperse stasis.

Indications

Traumatic bleeding, irregular menstruation, rheumatic arthritis, fracture, hemoptysis, strain of lumbar muscles, metrorrhagia.

Dosage and Administrations

Decoct 15~30 g, or made into pills and powder, or soaked in wine. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded for applying or decocted for washing.

Cautions

It is contraindicated to pregnant women.
